Downhill abandoned cement factories prevent the Mount Gu neighbouring residential area from developing any close relationship with the Mount. Moreover, the land has been excavated to respond to the needs of the industrial activities developed since the 70’s.
Daily-collected food scraps would be poured in to the huge barrels of such factories, so that the soil of the Mount gets fertilized. Hence, terraced gardens would be prospering on the excavated land, and local people would take care of these civic garden during leisure time.
