Lover River is the most important natural resource and major flood channel in Kaoshioung. It witnessed the process of industrialization and the post-industrial period of Kaoshioung.
The reservoir of wood is a medium to decipher the relationship between Kaoshioung city and Lover River. By re-using these being left over water reservoirs and water channels, a water recycling system of filtering function could be formulated to improve the purification facilities. In addition, by providing a new water gate, the system is able to receive sudden rain fall in the summer. The purified water body could be transformed into landscape features, fish ponds and water reservoirs for fire incidents.
