(M-Zone) 5

Grit Chamber area, Ban Bing mountain, Chai Shan Da Road, Kaoshioung

Mountain Ban-Ping has been amputated of its half, since the implantation of cement factories in the 70's required the installation of artificial water tanks, drainage pipes and other huge infrastructures of the kind.
Hence, while the west side of the mount is devastated by cement-related mega structures, the east side is left to the use of local people for mountain-climbing.
As industrial activities close down one by one, the re-programming of such a dead zone tends to reconnect the latter to teh other half, by opening a new mountain-climbing path that would make people aware of in-situ particularities while enjoying the pleasure of a healthy walk. The Mount revives.
